A lot of you may not know this about me (Shane), but I actually spent over a decade of my life in the Royal Australian Navy – training divers and special forces soldiers, and even completing a gruelling SAS selection course.
This is where I really found my love and passion for high performance and how the human body deals with stressors.
Physical health and fitness was obviously a huge factor in being able to perform under extreme pressure – but it was also crucial to find strategies to stay regulated in whatever crazy environment we were in.
Our body isn’t designed to stay in fight or flight mode for extended periods of time, we need to recover physically, mentally, chemically, biologically, emotionally, and energetically.
